Questions about Alfa Romeo and E10
Can my Alfa Romeo use E10 petrol?
Alfa Romeo says E10 is fine for its petrol cars from 2011. Older ones should use E5.
What if I put E10 in an older Alfa Romeo?
A single tank in a non-approved car will not cause damage, according to UK government advice. Fill up with E5 next time and keep using E5.
Where do I find E5 for my Alfa Romeo?
In the UK, E5 is sold as the "super" or "premium" unleaded grade (97+ octane) at most larger filling stations. Check the E5 label on the pump.
How else can I check my Alfa Romeo?
Look for an E10 label inside the fuel filler flap, check the owner's handbook, or ask a Alfa Romeo dealer.
